Hight temprature Verstion of the PVT system
Cambridge has developed a high temperature version of our VISCOlab PVT system! This new system operates at temperatures up to 300oC and pressures of 20,000 psi. This is a significant extension of our standard VISCOlab PVT system, which can only operate to 190oC. The high temperature PVT system has been developed for analyzing extraction methods for heavy oil in tar sands.
This press release discusses one customers’ use of the Cambridge device to support their efforts exploring approaches to improve extraction using the ‘steam-assisted drainage method’ for bitumen.
We are excited about the prospects for this instrument to support high temperature oil exploration.
